届け Todoke - Connection
Todoke (届け) is a web3.0 company invested in changing the way consumers react to videos, livestreams and visual content online. Leveraging a blockchain system, they want to transform the way viewers experience entertainment, and enhance the interactions between the audience and the entertainer.

Danmaku is one of their main ventures. Popularised by nico nico, the comment section would scroll past and over the video as the video played, giving the audience a live experience of reacting to the content as it went on.
Todoke reached out to design a brand that wasn't tech based or had traditional tech-like visuals, but instead a more playful and friendly environment. They wanted the video to center around the theme of connection, their main intention of their company. Connection could be anything, from charging your laptop, to riding a train, and enjoying your favorite book. All these connections can be meaningful, and the comment section can be just as important to life's experience.
The video was successful and the client... dangit aite the jig is up. There is no company in the writing on this description. This was all FAKE. IT WAS ALL A LIE. This brief was just an excuse for me to make a 2D video. THE VIDEO DOESN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE.

But hey, after many years of not doing 2D and leaning more towards 3D motion graphics, 2D was still my bread and butter. And to make sure I wasn't rusty, I cooked up this personal project. No C4D, no fluff, all just purely After Effects. I just wanted to show off my transition skills and animation skills, and I daresay I think I still got the hang of it.

Check out some of the breakdowns below, I think yall will really like it :) I Hope you enjoyed the project!
