MTV EMAs 2023
I was invited to help with animations meant to promote the MTV EMA's 2023. In particular, I was responsible for the animation of the teaser that it would be hosted in Paris.
This was a fun challenge, because of the branding's "collage" look mixed in with "spider-verse" influence.

The majority of the animation as done in After Effects, but there was use of C4D as reference and some tracking of essential textures.
A lot of compositing was done to create the collage effect, to make it feel more tactile and grounded.
Passes of the MTV logo were rendered in C4D and used as mattes for the cutouts, and moved around to create "mistakes" in the collage. The 3D camera was also imported in to create depth, and rigged up "paper flares" were used to simulate lights.
